Production Diary

24th November 2013 Two people in our video decided that they couldn't make it to filming on the day, so we had to find two back up members. We drove to a local shop in the town centre to film us and the band entering the shop and buying alcohol. This is conventional of pop-punk music videos (a narrative at the beginning without song). We then went to a bridge to film the final part of our music video and took a multitude of different shot angles, types with varied length of shot. We went to a local pub afterwards to film stop motion on a pint of beer to use as a fill. Me and Thomas took turns to both film an equal amount, as well as taking turns to edit the production. We now need to do the skatepark scene, some driving scenes and the party. We had some technical difficulties as the footage we had taken went missing on the camera, but it was eventually recovered. 27th November 2013 We filmed some of the driving scenes as well as a scene of Devan skating to use as fills and to navigate from scene to scene. 3rd December 2013 We filmed some fills for in between the scenes. We are planning to finish the rest of the filming before the end of December. 19th January 2014 A large majority of the filming was done here. We realised that the party scene would not be practical, so have changed our idea. 2nd February 2014 We completed filming today. We decided to mock break into a venue and use their instruments to simulate a gig instead of going for the party scene. We started and finished the skatepark scene as well as the drug taking/running away from police scene and YPM scene. The video was edited and compiled completely within the next week and there are possible plans to re-film some scenes such as the drug taking scene.
